Abstract

Maxillofacial defects could be acquired, developmental or genetic. An acquired partial maxillectomy patients will have impairment of speech, mastication and swallowing. Moreover, the maxillofacial patient can experience the complexity of anatomic structures and virtually endless potential for defects size, shape and location. The characteristic of treatment consideration for maxillary defects present an unlimited variety of possible configurations. The maxillofacial Prosthodontist plays a significant role in the rehabilitation of the acquired Maxillectomy defects with the special accent to the lessening the weight of the prosthesis and thereby enhancing the retention and stability. In Current case report, the patient was operated for partial maxillectomy and treated by giving a interim obturator and consequently followed by positioning of permanent obturator
