TREATMENT OF COMPLEX ANAL FISTULA WITH KSHARSUTRA IN MODERN ERA

Abstract

Background: The complex anal fistula is considering notorious disease due to its post operative very common complication of recurrence, fecal incontinence, pain and post-surgical ugly scar (30 to 40%). Aim: With the help of Ksharsutra and assisted partial fistulectomy we tried to get best outcome from post-surgical complication of recurrence, fecal incontince, pain and ugly scar in a case of complex anal fistula. Observation: We tried our method in 400 patients and get very less complication like recurrence in 7.5% cases, fecal incontinence in 00% cases, and ugly scar in 14.5% cases. But result of early post operative pain is less satisfactory (58%). Conclusion: In complex anal fistula, Ksharsutra assisted by partial fistulectomy is very useful because of its very less complication of recurrence, incontinence, and ugly scarring.
